แกลเลอรี่จัดแสดงนิทรรศการงานศิลปะจากหลากหลายศิลปิน ที่ผู้คนมักแวะเวียนมาเยี่ยมชมและถ่ายภาพอยู่เสมอ ตัวอาคารโดดเด่นด้วยสีน้ำเงิน ตัดกับสีดำของประตู และหน้าต่างเหล็กดัด ด้านหน้าอาคารประดับด้วยเสากลมจากสถาปัตยกรรมแบบโรมัน เหนือประตูแขวนป้ายชื่อ “Play Art House” พร้อมโลโก้รูปหัวเสาโรมันซึ่งเป็นเอกลักษณ์

จุดเริ่มต้นของแกลเลอรี่งานศิลปะร่วมสมัยแห่งแรกบนถนนทรงวาด เริ่มต้นจากความตั้งใจของสองสามีภรรยา คุณเกียรติวัฒน์ – คุณพัชรินทร์ ศรีจันทร์วันเพ็ญ ที่ร่วมกันชุบชีวิตให้กับอาคารหลังเก่า เพื่อบอกเล่าเรื่องราวในบทบาทใหม่ เดิมทีอาคารหลังนี้เป็นหนึ่งในบ้านหลังแรก ๆ บนถนนทรงวาดที่มีโทรทัศน์ เด็ก ๆ ในละแวกจึงมักแวะเวียนมานั่งดูทีวีกันที่นี่ รวมถึงคุณพ่อของคุณเกียรติวัฒน์ด้วย จนเมื่อเจ้าของบ้านต้องการขาย คุณพ่อจึงได้ซื้อไว้และดัดแปลงเป็นภัตตาคารจีนที่ตกแต่งด้วยเสาโรมัน เปิดให้บริการอยู่ราว 4-5 ปีก่อนจะปิดกิจการ และใช้เป็นโกดังเก็บสินค้านานกว่า 20 ปี หลังจากนั้นจึงเกิดไอเดียเริ่มปรับปรุงอาคารใหม่ เพราะต้องการพื้นที่สำหรับจัดแสดงผลงานภาพวาดของคุณเกียรติวัฒน์เอง จึงทำให้ที่นี่กลายเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของพื้นที่สำหรับศิลปะหลากหลายสาขา ให้ได้มีพื้นที่แสดงผลงาน

The gallery showcases art exhibitions by various artists and is a popular spot where visitors often stop by to admire the works and take photos. The building stands out with its striking blue exterior, contrasted by black doors and wrought iron windows. At the front, Roman-style round columns add a touch of classical architecture. Above the entrance hangs a sign reading “Play Art House” featuring a distinctive logo of a Roman column capital.

The story of the first contemporary art gallery on Song Wat Road began with the shared vision of a husband and wife, Kiattivat and Patcharin Srichanwanpen, who set out to breathe new life into an old building and give it a new purpose.
Originally, the building was one of the first homes on Song Wat Road to have a television, making it a popular spot where neighborhood children among them Kiattivat’s father would gather to watch TV.
When the original owner decided to sell, Kiattivat’s father bought the property and transformed it into a Chinese restaurant, complete with Roman-style columns. The restaurant operated for about 4–5 years before closing down and later served as a storage space for over 20 years.
Eventually, the idea to renovate the building took shape, driven by Kiattivat’s desire for a space to showcase his paintings. This marked the beginning of a new chapter turning the place into a platform for artists from various disciplines to present their work.
