RQ Bite at the racquet club sukhumvit 49

The Racquet Club สปอร์ตคลับที่อยู่คู่ซอยสุขุมวิท 49 มาตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. 2523 มีสถานที่ให้เล่นกีฬาได้กว่า 10 ชนิด ทั้งฟิตเนส เทนนิส ปีนผาจำลอง แบดมินตัน ฯลฯ และตอนนี้ได้เปิดโซน Community Space ที่ประกอบด้วยร้านอาหาร และสนามเด็กเล่น โดยได้สถาปนิกมือรางวัลอย่าง CHAT Architects มาออกแบบ ในชื่อ RQ Bites

ด้วยวิสัยทัศน์ของ คุณอ๋อม ศวิสาข์ ภูมิรัตน เจ้าของโครงการ ที่ต้องการสร้างพื้นที่พักผ่อน พบปะสังสรรค์และเป็นที่เล่นสำหรับเด็กๆ โดยใช้ที่ดินที่เป็นบ้านเก่าของครอบครัว ทางคุณอั๋น ฉัตรพงษ์ ชื่นฤดีมล แห่ง CHAT Architects เห็นว่าบ้านเก่าสองหลังมีองค์ประกอบที่น่าสนใจคือ ผนังอิฐสีส้มที่ให้ความรู้สึกอบอุ่นเป็นกันเอง และกรอบหน้าต่างสีฟ้าอ่อนที่ดูน่ารักและเป็นมิตร จึงใช้สององค์ประกอบนี้ในการออกแบบพื้นที่ และสร้างหลังคาเชื่อมอาคารสองหลังเข้าด้วยกัน ภายในมีอาคารเล็กๆสำหรับร้านอาหาร วางตัวล้อมสวนมะม่วงเดิม และสร้างทางวิ่งเล่นทอดยาวอยู่เหนือร้านอาหาร ทำให้เกิดเป็นสนามเด็กเล่นแบบใหม่ และเหลือพื้นที่สนามหญ้าตรงกลางไว้สำหรับจัดกิจกรรม

คุณอ๋อม ยังได้เลือกร้านอาหารมาไว้ในโครงการอย่างหลากหลายถึง 7 ร้าน ได้แก่

2. Goodburg’s ร้านเบอร์เกอร์สไตล์อเมริกัน
3. Premium Craft pizza ร้านพิซซ่าโฮมเมด
4. Jukkumi ร้านอาหารเกาหลี
5. เฟี้ยววว ร้านอาหารไทยร่วมสมัย
6. Bird House ร้านกาแฟและเครื่องดื่ม
7. Airi ร้านของหวานและเบเกอรี่

The Racquet Club, a sports club that has been a part of Sukhumvit 49 since 1980, offers facilities for more than 10 types of sports, including fitness, tennis, rock climbing, badminton, and more. Recently, it launched a new Community Space, featuring restaurants and a playground, designed by award-winning architects from CHAT Architects under the name RQ Bites.

With the vision of Khun Aom Savisak Bhumiratan, the project owner, the aim was to create a space for relaxation, socializing, and a playground for children, utilizing the family’s old property. Khun Aun Chatpong Chuenrudeemol from CHAT Architects saw interesting elements in the two old houses, such as the warm and welcoming orange brick walls and the cute, friendly light blue window frames. These two elements were incorporated into the design, along with a roof connecting the two houses. Inside, there are small buildings for restaurants surrounding the original mango garden, and a long running path above the restaurants, creating a new-style playground, with the central lawn space left for activities.

Khun Aom also selected a diverse range of seven restaurants for the project, including:

1. Yod Zaap – Spicy Isaan cuisine
2. Goodburg’s – American-style burgers
3. Premium Craft Pizza – Homemade pizza
4. Jukkumi – Korean food
5. Feawww – Contemporary Thai cuisine
6. Bird House – Coffee and beverages
7. Airi – Desserts and bakery
